DAY 1 FIKA
Hello things have been very quite on my blog but for a very good reason. I am now living in Sweden. It all happened very fast. My husband started a new job here. The past few weeks have been a little crazy with DIY on our place getting it ready to rent out and endless appointments to close one life in the UK and start a new life here in Sweden.
It's a huge change and life has become so much calmer and clearer to just think and plan ahead.
I started a sketchbook journal here is my first week in Sweden and as you can imagine getting too grips with learning a whole new language for everyday life situations.
Here is my first sketch book page on our first day living in Sweden. We woke up this morning and found our local bakery and had Fika. Coffee and something a little sweet. Yummy pastries . Need to up my baking skills.
Day 3 living in Sweden. Tack / thank you a very useful Swedish word. One I have used so much in the past few days. Gets you by when you have a very limited Swedish vocabulary.
Day 4 living in Sweden. My son started his new school yesterday. It's so different to London school. Very relaxed, happy and he gets to play in a forest at break times.
Sweden Day 6 learning Swedish washing machine instructions. In Swedish apartments they have a very neat laundry room. I managed to not shrink our clothes on Saturday. Thank you Google app
Day 7 a beautiful.Sunday train journey just half an hour nearest big town Vaxjo .we where excited to see the train to Stockholm before our train but thats for another day. In Vaxjo we found an amazing junk store and really old cafe Swedish style with old wallpaper and furniture and delicious Fika.
